Day 3 Hong Kong (B) Today is free for personal sightseeing and to explore the amazing sights of Hong Kong. It is recommended that you experience the city’s famous ‘Symphony of Lights’ where the harbour buildings all illuminate with a fantastic laser show.
Day 4 Hong Kong (B) Free for perhaps visiting Victoria Peak by cable railway or the amazing complex of Ocean Park .
Day 5 Fly Hong Kong to Kunming (B-D) On arrival at Kunming airport, you’ll be transferred to your central hotel to check-in for the next 2 nights. During the afternoon, you have a short tour of the city’s sights and parks.
Day 6 Kunming (B-L-D) Today you’ll be taken to Kunming’s incredible Stone Forest where hundreds of years of geological activity has produced a lunar landscape of stone trees, lakes and balancing rocks.
Day 7 Fly Kunming to Lijiang (B-D) On arrival at the ancient city of Lijiang, you’ll check into your hotel before being given a guided tour of the picturesque old town area.
Day 8 Lijiang (B-L-D) Today you will be transported to the mountains where you’ll be taken by chair lift to Yak Meadow to see the amazing views of Western China. Late afternoon you’ll visit the preserved ethnic village to experience peasant life and meet the charismatic Doctor Yo as featured in Michael Palin’s travel programmes.
Day 9 Flight to Kunming (B-L-D) After checking into your hotel in Kunming, you’ll be taken by chairlift to walk along the unbelievable cliff carved walkways leading up to Dragon’s Gate.
Day 10 Fly Kunming to Hong Kong (B) Today you’ll bid farewell to mainland China and take the short flight to Hong Kong where you’ll check into your centrally located hotel.
Day 11 Hong Kong (B) Today you’ll check out of your hotel after breakfast and put your luggage into store at the hotel’s concierge. The day is then completely free for shopping and personal sightseeing. At 20:30hrs your transfer vehicle will collect you from your hotel to take you to Hong Kong airport to check in for your return flight to England.
Day 12 Fly Hong Kong to England Depart Hong Kong airport soon after midnight for your return flight to England. |
