Day 3 Beijing (B-L-D) Today’s tour will unfold its grandeur when you go and visit some of Beijing’s greatest sights: the massive Tiananmen Square, the powerful Forbidden City hidden from public view for over 500 years. In the afternoon, continue your tour to the Empress Dowager’s bejewelled Summer Palace. Enjoy the colourful Peking Opera Show in the evening.
Day 4 Beijing (B-L) A walk along a short section of the majestic Great Wall will be one of the highlights and great travel experience for your lifetime, you will have enough time to stroll along this world wonder to contemplate what history left us and how great people can be. You’ll also visit the Scared Road before returning to the city.
Day 5 Fly Beijing to Xian (B-L) After a visit to another of Beijing's iconic landmark – the 15th century Temple of Heaven, you’ll fly from Beijing to Xian, once the largest city in the world and the capital for 11 Chinese dynasties during a period of 1,180 years
Day 6 Xian (B-L-D) Today you’ll explore the glories of this ancient city including the incredible 6,000 life-size Terracotta Warriors and Horses arranged in battle formation to protect the mausoleum of the first emperor in Chinese history - Emperor QinShihuang since 2,200 years ago. Also enjoy strolling along the Ancient City Walls considered as the largest and best-preserved ancient fortress in the world and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda housing the sutras brought back from India by the famous monk Xuan-zang in Tang Dynasty
Day 7 Xian & Flight to Guilin (B-L) Continue your Xian exploration with visits to Hanyang Tombs showing you the underground treasure house of cultural relics before flying to Guilin, the most scenic city in China. Upon arrival at Guiling airport, you’ll be transferred to your centrally located hotel.
Day 8 Guiling (B-L-D) Enjoy a full-day of scenic cruising on the tranquil Li River. Along the river, you will be inspired by breathtaking views of peaks and pinnacles, crystal-clear water and reflections in the water together with the serene pastoral views of rice paddies and water buffaloes, you are certainly walking into a traditional Chinese painting by cruising on it.
Day 9 Guiling & Flight to Shanghai (B-L) Have a city tour of the Elephant Trunk Hill, the symbol of Guilin, then the Fubo Hill, where you can have bird’s-eye view of the whole city from the very top, and visit the Reed Flute Cave, filled with stalactites & stalagmites illuminated by the lights of different colors. You’ll then be transfer to Guilin airport for your flight to the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai, home to one of the Worlds greatest sea ports.
Day 10 Shanghai (B-L-D) Shanghai is China’s financial capital. A thrilling day of sightseeing presents Shanghai’s uniqueness. Stroll the waterfront Bund and the crowded Nanjing Road, the beautiful Yu Garden and the bustling Yuyuan Market, and explore the stunning Shanghai Museum. Your day will be complete with tonight’s wonderful Acrobatic Show
Day 11 Fly Shanghai to Hong Kong (B) Say “zai jian” (goodbye) to ancient China after breakfast and be transferred to Shanghai airport for your 10:40hrs China Eastern Airways flight CE727 to Hong Kong (arrive 13:10hrs) At lunchtime you’ll land in Hong Kong and be transferred to the city centre where you’ll check into your luxury waterfront hotel (The Mandarin Excelsior) for two nights.
Day 12 Hong Kong (B) Today is completely free to explore the amazing city of Hong Kong. It is recommended that you take the rack tramway to visit Stanley Peak, then in the evening take a harbour cruise to see the famous “Symphony of Lights”, where Hong Kong’s sky scrapers emit an incredible laser show every night
Day 13 Hong Kong (B) Today you’ll check out of your hotel after breakfast and put your luggage into store at the hotel’s concierge. The day is then completely free for shopping and personal sightseeing. At 20:30hrs your transfer vehicle will collect you from your hotel to take you to Hong Kong airport where you’ll check in for your return flight to England.
Day 14 Fly Hong Kong to England Depart Hong Kong airport soon after midnight for your return flight to England. |
